What a great Conference we had last night!  The discussion was a bit tiring, but it was thorough, good spirited, and helpful.  I couldn’t have hoped for better.  Larry Lloyd graciously moved for us to recess the meeting until next Wednesday, May 4th @ 6pm.  This motion was approved.  The plan is to continue our discussion on the proposed Constitution.  However, since we made it through the entire document, we will not need to pour over it in detail as this past week.  We will simply field any remaining questions and see what the body’s pleasure is in moving forward.

The body did make two decisions last night:

1) To approve the refinancing of our building loan at a fixed 4.5% for 5 years based on a 25 year amortization.  This is a huge help and aids us in making progress in paying down the debt as it includes both interest and principle.

2) To approve ongoing discussion with the University of Arkansas about the possibility of using the Chapel for the next 2 years (approximately) for a large auditorium classroom (this is due to ongoing construction on the University campus).  The ministry possibility to thousands of college students is huge.  Please continue to pray for wisdom in every regard.

It’s a pleasure serving with you all.  I look forward to all that the Lord continues to do in our midst.  I sense that we are on the brink of some incredible things.
