Then and Now: Life in View of the End Times is the chosen theme for this year’s conference.  Our aim in this conference is to live a life that treasures Christ more in the here and now because we better understand, and look forward to, His return to this earth we live in.

Dr. Russell Moore is our special guest speaker this year.  Dr. Moore is the Dean of the School of Theology and Senior Vice-President for Academic Administration at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. He also serves as a preaching pastor at Highview Baptist Church, where he ministers weekly at the congregation’s Fegenbush location. Moore is the author of The Kingdom of Christ and Adopted for Life.

The schedule for the conference includes an examination of different end times views (eschatology) on Friday, February 5th from 6:30-9:00.  We will come back together on Saturday, February 6th from 9:00-12:30 to look at the practical implications of life at home, at church, and in the world in view of Christ’s return.  For UBC members and guests, Dr. Moore will then be with us on Sunday, February 7th @ 9:15 am for a corporate Bible Fellowship, and again at 10:30 am for our main worship service.
