One thought on “MacArthur, Spurgeon and LOOOONG Sermons”
If the congregation loves the Word and the pastor is preaching the Word, then as a congregation, we will NOT find ourselves looking at our watches…. except to maybe wonder where the time went. Mike, I always want you to preach until you are finished. Period. And it is my hope that many others within UBC will encourage you to do the same thing, and assure you that we want you to continue to be driven by the power of God’s word…. and not by a stopwatch. But I also hope you won’t be discouraged if you don’t get unanimous support for that. I may be wrong, but I am guessing there were probably some people distracted by the shadows on some sundials during the Sermon on the Mount!
