I simply wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas on this blessed morning. I have continued to think of Psalm 16, with two particular reflections. First of all, we have been so richly blessed in this life, but am particularly grateful for the blessings of a future hope of eternal joy in Christ Jesus. That joy is ours even now, because He lives!
Secondly, verse 3 says, “As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.” After the very warm and blessed Christmas eve service last night and awaking this morning in Fayetteville, I think again of my love for you all and my aim to see Christ become your increasing, all-satisfying joy.
May God’s all-sufficient grace be known by you all and may the Word of God dwell in you richly that you may grow into the maturity that is Christ Jesus.
Merry Christmas Lumpkins!
