The Gospel on Display…or not!

Below are a few videos for you to watch taken from the Larry King Show. We are called to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ boldly and without shame, even if it means chiding, suffering or persecution. I’m not saying that we are to be brash and disrespectful. We are, however, to be direct and plain.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Romans 1:16

  1. Dear Pastor,
I so appreciate your forth right honest answers to what Christ teaches. You never say, “For me, Christianity is…” You say, “Christ set it up this way, and whether or not I like it really doesn’t matter, I am going to be a doer of the word no matter what the cost.” James tells us to give our tongue to the Lord…I must admit though in this situation I would have a very difficult time if I were in that news room with Bishop Melvin Talbert, holding my tongue. “We are here to practice what we preach…” I wonder, what does he preach? Perhaps you could help me out with what he meant by…”Our God is large enough to be ‘inclusive’ to all human beings who are created in God’s image, and that includes those religions that are not Christians…” As for Joel Osteen…He just makes me mad!
Anyway, thanks for the blog, these videos, and your outstanding messages on Sunday mornings. Christ shines brightly through you and your beautiful family! Thank you so much for living for God. I will pray for the verse in Ephesians 6:13 to encourage you this week, “…STAND FIRM”
    Thanks again,
    Hannah

  2. Thank God for loyal faithful Christians like John MacArthur who aren’t afraid or ashamed of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Shame on that Methodist preacher. I wonder what John and Charles Wesley would have to say to his “inclusive” gospel.
