What a great Sunday we had yesterday! I hope and pray that you all had a blessed day in glorifying God, thanking Him for the gift of motherhood. I am grateful for the sweet spirit in our services and many are commenting on that fact to me each week. I praise God for his faithfulness!
There are many things going on this week in the life of the church that I would ask you to pray for regularly.
First of all, we have 2 teams going out this weekend overseas and the work that is to be done is very significant and foundational. Pray for our safety, sanctification and ministry. As well, we have several more trips planned for the summer, including Guatemala, that you will want to pray for in preparation.
Secondly, in my absence Richey Miller will be preaching on Sunday morning the 20th. During this service our graduates will be recognized and prayed for. Be in prayer for Richey as he prepares to preach this week and let this week be a reminder to pray for our Student Ministry in general.
Thirdly, we are continuing to work very hard in establishing better communication and promotion of the varied events and ministries of the church. Pray for your staff that we might have wisdom to be simple, yet thorough in communicating to the body and helping the body prepare for varied works of service. We want to be good stewards of God’s rich provisions. In this, I must say that it is commanded for you to pray for your spiritual leaders. So, lift each staff member up in prayer regularly that God would protect us, mold us and use us for His own good pleasure.
Finally, do not forget this Sunday, May 20th…
* 4:30 Quarterly Church Conference (including a vote on the recommended new schedule)
* 5:15 VBS Sign-up
* 6:00 AWANA Awards Program
“Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.”
Jude 24,25
